The South African Evangelistic Mission

The South African Evangelistic Mission was birthed through the passion and compassion of our spiritual parents and grandparents, namely :-  Paul and Helen and David and Donna Haag. In 1954, the Haags set foot on African soil in an “apartheid” setting, yet to them color meant nothing. All they cared about was the souls of men and women and where they would spend their eternity.

The Haag’s labored tirelessly and gave their all for the cause of advancing the kingdom work in South Africa. They established new churches, reached out to the poor and needy and poured out all they had to a multitude of people in South Africa and all of Africa. Today, sixty seven years later, this work has grown to well over 100 churches in South Africa. Paul and Helen Haag are buried side by side in Port Shepstone, South Africa. We are forever grateful to God for their legacy that lives on.

In 2011, David and Donna Haag handed the work over to the native leaders of South Africa and Tyrone Paul has since served as the Moderator of the SAEM. David and Donna, still travel back and forth to the USA and South Africa and continue to serve the SAEM as Mom and Dad Haag (Founding Bishop). What a blessing they are to the body of Christ globally. This year (April) they will both celebrate 60 years of marriage. Wow! what godly examples.

The vision of the ministry is PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST and according to Tyrone Paul, he believes that PEOPLE is what SAEM is all about. It is not about property management, gaining of wealth, show-casing our achievements, parading our credentials or about bragging of how great a ministry we have… it is about GLORIFYING JESUS and loving people enough to see to it that not a single one goes to hell.

You can join us in our kingdom passion by partnering with us through your prayer, giving and also joining us on meeting the ever growing needs of our communities. At the end of the day may His will be done and may His kingdom come.
